Simple Pleasures

Is there anything more delicious than sitting in a café near an open window on a warm summer afternoon, drinking a coffee and leisurely reading the newspaper while watching pedestrians pass by as the sky fills with clouds and it begins to rain, softly at first and then suddenly hard, with thunderclaps and lightning, thereby creating a wonderful soundtrack to go with your reading as fat raindrops bounce off the white awning outside and run burbling together into the gutter while you just stay put, comfortable and dry and with nowhere to rush off to all afternoon?

to answer your question: no.

(on another front, have been e-mailing with one of my dad's aquaintances in germany. he's an activist looking for an internship in the US to work on his english. i pointed him towards RAN, Global Trade Watch and Greenpeace - he's interested in globalization work. The group he's part of Attac-Augsburg, will have representation in Caracas.
You still planning on going to Venezuela or are you coming home?
