Those of you who have been following my travel plans from way back in early 2005 know that the original idea was to attend the World Social Forum in Venezuela this week. Circumstances and finances brought me here to Argentina instead, but the WSF in Caracas has brought over 100,000 activists together from across the globe to discuss democracy, peace, social justice, economic and environmental sustainability, and many other pressing issues. Many of my Global Exchange friends are in Venezuela right now working their tails off: leading workshops, coordinating tours of community projects, and just being their bad selves.
